Removal, check of a state and installation of the camshaft and pushers of valves

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery and uncover a head of cylinders (see Removal and installation of a cover of a head of cylinders).
2. Remove a camshaft cogwheel (see Removal, check of a state and installation of a natyazhitel and cogwheels of a gas-distributing belt).
3. Remove VV the ignition coil (see System of ignition - petrol models).
4. Having removed the coil, weaken the top bolt of fastening of a casing of the thermostat to the left end face of a head of cylinders. Turn out a bolt and remove it together with a washer - it is used also for fastening of a cover of the left (No. 1) bearing of the camshaft.

5. Carefully pick up the maslopodayushchy phone from unions on covers of bearings of the camshaft. Pay attention that each of unions is equipped with a sealing ring. Try to remember the adjusting provision of nozzles on both ends of a tube.

6. Covers of bearings have to be consistently numbered (with 1 on 5), in the direction from the party of the engine turned to transmission. In the absence of factory identification tags put them independently by means of a marker. Mark also orientation of each of covers on the engine.

7. In stages (on one turn for approach) evenly weaken nuts of fastening of covers for the purpose of gradual removal of the effort developed by valvate springs. Further nuts can be turned off and removed finally.

8. Once again make sure available identification and landing tags on covers, then remove the last from a head of cylinders.

9. Accurately take the camshaft from a head of cylinders and remove an epiploon from its pin.

10. Prepare eight numbered plastic bags, then by means of a rubber sucker serially take pushers of valves from a head, at once stacking them in appropriately numbered packages. At assembly pushers have to be established strictly on the former places. Not observance of this requirement leads to essential reduction of service life of components of the valvate mechanism. In case of need remove also adjusting washers from end faces of cores of valves and put in packages of the corresponding pushers. Remember that washers often podlipat to pushers, - try not to drop them in the course of extraction of the last.

Check of a state

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check a condition of bearing necks and working surfaces of cams of the camshaft. In case of identification of signs of wear, furrows or deep scratches, replace a shaft. Check also a condition of bearing surfaces in beds of covers and heads of cylinders. In case of detection of serious defects the head should be replaced also. In the presence of near at hand suitable equipment degree of wear of necks of a shaft can be estimated by direct measurement (in the presence of the relevant standard requirements - see Specifications). Remember that the bearing located from the party of the engine turned to transmission is considered the first.
2. Check the working surfaces of pushers contacting to cams for existence of scratches and signs of excessive wear. Replace defective pushers. In case of identification of serious damages check also a condition of working ledges of the corresponding cams of the camshaft. In case of need make replacement of defective components.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At the corresponding complete set establish adjusting washers of pushers on end faces of cores of the valves. In order to avoid violation of installation of valvate gaps (see Check and adjustment of valvate gaps) washers have to be established strictly on the former places.
2. Properly grease pushers and their landing nests in a head of cylinders. Accurately fill pushers in the former nests. Track perpendicularity of landing of pushers in a head.
3. Grease necks and cams of the camshaft and bring the last on the regular place to a head of cylinders. Temporarily put a cogwheel on a forward pin of a shaft and achieve combination of drilling in it with a reciprocal opening in a head body. Make sure available on the place of the core blocking a bent shaft (see Fixing cranked/distributive in bulk for the purpose of prevention of service of the car, casual in the course of performing procedures).
4. Carefully smooth out and dry wipe the interfaced surfaces of covers and places of their landing on a head of cylinders. Grease with sealant the surface of a cover of the first bearing interfaced to a thermostat casing, then establish covers on the regular places according to identification and landing marking.
5. In stages (on one turn for approach) evenly tighten nuts of fastening of covers so that the last nestled on a head, then tighten nuts with the required effort.
6. Check a condition of sealing rings of unions of landing of a maslopodayushchy tube, in case of need make replacement. Oil rings pure motive and put a tube on the regular place. Track that sealing rings were not displaced in the course of landing of a tube to unions of covers of bearings.
7. Check a condition of a sealing washer, in case of need make its replacement. Screw and tighten the top bolt of fastening of a casing of the thermostat.
8. Install to the place of VV the ignition coil (see System of ignition - petrol models).
9. Establish a new epiploon of the camshaft (see Replacement of an epiploon(s) of the camshaft), then establish a cogwheel (see Removal, check of a state and installation of a natyazhitel and cogwheels of a gas-distributing belt).
10. Check installation of valvate gaps (see Check and adjustment of valvate gaps).
11. Establish a cover of a head of cylinders (see Removal and installation of a cover of a head of cylinders) and connect a negative wire to the battery.
