Fixing cranked/distributive shaft for the purpose of prevention of service of the car, casual in the course of performing procedures

Do not make attempts of a provorachivaniye of the engine at the shaft blocked cranked/distributive. If the engine is left blocked for a long time, it is necessary to establish the warning plates of the corresponding content in salon and a motive compartment of the car. Such precautionary measure will allow to avoid a casual provorachivaniye of the blocked engine a starter that is fraught with serious mechanical damages.

On all models the special drillings allowing to make fixing of shaft in the correct phase of gas distribution excluding probability of hit of valves in contact with the bottoms of pistons in installation time of a head of cylinders/belt of the GRM drive are provided in a cogwheel distributive and a pulley cranked shaft. Having achieved combination of openings in a gear wheel / pulley with reciprocal nests in the head/block of cylinders, it is necessary to pass throughout them fingers of suitable diameter. The detailed description of the procedure of blocking of shaft is given below.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. A car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. Remove the right forward wheel.
2. Under the car release bolts and clamps of fastening of a plastic cover in a wheel arch cornice. Uncover for the purpose of ensuring access to a bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft. Now the shaft can be turned for a bolt of its pulley by means of a face key with a suitable collar. Remember that the bent shaft should be turned always only clockwise (looking from the right board of the car).
3. Remove the top cover of a belt of the GRM drive (see Removal and installation of covers of a gas-distributing belt).
4. Turn a bent shaft so that drilling in a cogwheel of the camshaft was combined in a reciprocal nest in a body of a head of cylinders. Pay attention that combination of openings happens when drilling in a cogwheel falls into a state for 8 hours (looking from the right board of the car).

5. Having achieved the correct provision of a cogwheel of the camshaft, pass through an opening in a pulley of a bent shaft a bolt or a drill on 8 mm, having entered its end into a reciprocal nest in a wall of the block of cylinders.

Final combination of openings, perhaps, will require insignificant updating of the provision of a pulley.

6. Having blocked a bent shaft, pass a bolt or a drill on 9.5 mm through drilling in a camshaft cogwheel, having entered its end into a nest in a body of a head of cylinders.

7. Now both shaft will be blocked in safe provisions.
