Removal and installation of a steering wheel

Models without safety cushion

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Having accurately hooked, remove the central overlay of a steering wheel.
3. At the corresponding complete set disconnect an electrical wiring from a payment of remote control of functioning of the radio tape recorder located in a groove in the top part of a steering wheel.
4. Give a fixing nut and remove a steering wheel from a column shaft (at the corresponding complete set track release of an electrical wiring from the central part of a wheel).

Installation

Installation is made upside-down. At the corresponding complete set track correctness of laying of an electrical wiring. Tighten a fixing nut with the required effort.

The models equipped with a safety cushion

The electronic control unit (ECU) of a safety cushion is built in in assembly of a steering wheel, - try not to damage the block in the course of dismantle of the last.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the safety cushion module (address the Head Onboard electric equipment).
2. At the corresponding complete set disconnect an electrical wiring from a payment of remote control of functioning of the radio tape recorder installed in a groove in the top part of a steering wheel.
3. Release the contact socket of an electrical wiring of a safety cushion from a clamp on a steering wheel and disunite it.
4. Give a nut of fastening of a steering wheel. In the course of removal of a wheel from a shaft of a steering column track threading of an electrical wiring through its stupichny part.
5. Transfer the removed steering wheel to the place of storage. Try not to damage ECU of a safety cushion.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down. Pay attention to the next moments:
   a) Track correctness of laying of an electrical wiring;
   b) Track respect for the required effort of tightening of a nut of fastening of a steering wheel;
   c) Do not forget to install into place the safety cushion module (address the Head Onboard electric equipment).
