Check of serviceability of functioning of system of a charge

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If at inclusion of ignition on an instrument guard of the car the control lamp of a charge does not light up, first of all it is necessary to check reliability of fastening of plugs of an electrical wiring of the generator. If conducting as it should be, check whether filament in a lamp, and also reliability of fixing in the dashboard of her boss fused. If after the made corrections the lamp still does not join, check the wire of its food going to the boss from the generator for conductivity existence. If a wire as it should be, therefore, internal malfunction of the generator takes place and intervention of the expert is required.
2. If the control lamp of a charge continues to burn after start, or joins at the working engine, muffle it and check correctness of adjustment of a tension of a driving belt (address the Head Routine maintenance). Make sure also that generator fixture did not weaken. If everything is all right, the generator it is necessary to deliver for check and repair in a specialized workshop.
3. If there are suspicions on an aberration of output tension of the generator, despite serviceability of functioning of a control lamp, it is necessary to make high-quality check of a condition of the regulator of tension (see further). In the presence of near at hand necessary diagnostic equipment, it is possible to make check of the generator without extraction it from the car (see below in separate subsection).
4. Connect the voltmeter to plugs of the battery and start the engine.
5. Lifting engine turns, achieve stabilization of indications of the voltmeter.

The indication has to make 12 ÷ 13 V and not rise higher than 14 Century.

6. Include as much as possible consumers of the electric power (head headlights, heating of back glass, the heater fan, etc.) and make sure that output tension continues to remain at the previous level (13 ÷ 14 V).
7. Power failure at inclusion of consumers can be connected with wear of brushes of the generator, weakening of their springs, failure of the regulator of tension, malfunction of the diode, damage of a phase winding, or wear of the sliding rings. The generator has to be replaced, or is delivered for repair in a specialized workshop.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. In the presence of near at hand tachometer, the voltmeter, the ampermeter and shop of resistance, it is possible to collect the special measuring scheme and to make the checks of the generator described below without extraction it from the car.
2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
3. Disconnect an excitement winding wire from the generator EHS plug. Also disconnect a wire of giving of charging current from plus (+) a generator conclusion.
4. Connect the ampermeter consistently, and shop of resistance - in parallel in a chain of charging current (see the illustration Scheme of Check of Output Parameters of the Generator). The positive pole of the ampermeter has to be connected to the generator + plug, negative - to the disconnected wire of giving of charging current. The shop of resistance joins between the negative plug of the ampermeter and weight.
5. Turn on the voltmeter in parallel in a category chain for what connect its positive plug to the generator + plug, and negative - to weight.
6. Connect a negative wire to the battery.
7. According to instructions of manufacturers connect a tachometer.
8. Start the engine and leave it working at single turns. Make sure that the frequency of rotation of the engine makes not less than 700 rpm and switch shop of resistance so that indications of the voltmeter made 14 V. Znacheniye of current at the same time has to be not lower than 16 And.
9. Lift engine turns to value 900 in a minute, - current has to increase to 32 A. Further increase in frequency of rotation of the engine (to 1800 rpm) has to lead to increase of current to 47 and.
10. Kill the engine and disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
11. Disconnect all measuring devices and restore initial connection of an electrical wiring to the generator. Connect a negative wire to the battery.
12. Adjustable tension can be checked by means of the same scheme. Lift the frequency of rotation of the engine to value of 1800 rpm and consider indications of devices. The size of tension has to make 13.8 ÷ 14.5 B at current in 42 A.
