Epiploon of a rod of the choice of transfers

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Transfer the selector lever to situation N.
2. For the purpose of ensuring access to the end of a driving cable turned to transmission remove the battery with the pallet and a basic plate (see the Head Elektrooborudovaniye of the engine). In case of need remove also inlet air duct(s) (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).
3. Turn out two screws of fastening of a cover of a cable in the arm, then accurately disconnect a tip from the spherical hinge on the end of the lever of the choice of transfers on transmission.

Do not allow change of position of the lever of the choice of transfers after a detachment of a driving cable! As an additional precautionary measure mark position of the lever concerning a transmission case.

4. Give a fixing nut and remove the lever from a pin of a rod of the choice of transfers.
5. Puncture couple of small openings in a face surface of an epiploon. Screw self-tapping screws in openings. Having grasped with nippers heads of screws, take an epiploon from the nest.
6. Wipe walls of a nest of an epiploon and a surface of a pin of a rod. In case of need remove with a fine-grained emery paper agnails and the teases capable to lead to failure of a new epiploon. At detection of serious defects it is necessary to make replacement of a rod.
7. Oil sponges of a new epiploon pure motive, then accurately put on an epiploon sealing sponges inside a rod of the choice of transfers (try not to damage sponges). By means of a piece of a pipe of the corresponding diameter put an epiploon in a nest aflush with a transmission case surface (the mandrel has to rest only against the firm outer edge of an epiploon).
8. Put on the lever of the choice of transfers a pin of a rod and tighten a nut of its fastening with the required effort.
9. Establish a flange of fastening of a cover of a cable on a basic arm on transmission and fix it by fixing bolts.
10. Make sure that levers of the selector and the choice of transfers still are in situation N, then make adjustment of a cable and its connection to the choice lever (see subitem 4 — 6 in the section Adjustment of a Driving Cable of the choice of transfers of AT).
