Removal and TNVD installation

Try not to allow hits of dirt in the pump! At assembly new sealing rings of hollow bolts of nipple connections of fuel lines will be necessary.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
2. Cover with polyethylene the generator in order to avoid hit of diesel fuel on it. On the models equipped with the air conditioner remove the generator with an assembly bracket (see System of preheat - diesel models), and also a belt of the drive of auxiliary units.
3. For the purpose of ensuring access, remove an air distributor casing. In case of need remove also inlet air duct and disconnect a ventilating branch pipe from a jellied mouth of motive oil. For more details see appropriate sections of the present Chapter.
4. On models with RKPP prop up antiretractable boots back wheels, then a poddomkratta the right forward corner of the car so that the wheel completely came off the earth. Install the lifted car on a prop and include the 4th or 5th transfer easily to turn the engine for the right forward wheel. On models with AT the engine should be turned a wrench for a bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft (for the purpose of decrease in resistance turn out glow plugs).
5. Remove the top cover (i) of a gas-distributing belt (see the Head Remont of the engine).
6. At the corresponding complete set disconnect hoses from the vacuum converter at TNVD end face.

7. Disconnect from the pump a gas cable - see Removal, installation and adjustment of a cable of gas. On models with AT disconnect also a cable of inclusion of the kick-down mode (see. Automatic transmission).

8. Also disconnect from the pump a driving cable of bystry idling (see Removal, installation and adjustment of the thermosensitive RPM meter of bystry idling).

9. Release a collar / give the nipple socket and disconnect a fuel supply hose. At the corresponding complete set, remove sealing washers of a hollow bolt of the nipple socket. At once to a zakuporta the open end of the hose/union also screw into place a hollow bolt of nipple connection in order to avoid hit in system of dirt.



10. Disconnect the main tube of return of fuel and an otstykuyta the nipple socket of a tube of return of fuel from injectors. Remove sealing washers of a hollow bolt of the nipple socket. Do not forget to cork the open end hoses and to screw into place a bolt of nipple knot (do not mix inlet and final nipple connections).

11. Disconnect the corresponding electrical wiring from the pump. Pay attention that on some pumps of the Bosch system rather just to rasstykovat contact sockets on a pump arm. On other pumps it is necessary to disconnect an electrical wiring from separate components (some contact connections are protected by rubber caps).

12. Give cap nuts of nipple connections of fastening of fuel tubes to TNVD and nozzles. The second half of the socket at an otdavaniye of a cap nut should be held an additional key.



13. Remove tubes in a set.

14. At once to a zakuporta the open ends of nipple sockets in order to avoid hit in system of dirt (it is possible to use the fingers which are cut off from rubber gloves).

15. Turn a bent shaft so that two bolted openings in a cogwheel of TNVD were combined with reciprocal openings in a forward plate of the engine.

16. Pass two bolts of M8 throughout the combined openings and strongly tighten them. Pay attention that bolts have to hold a cogwheel in the course of removal of the pump that allows to avoid need of removal of a gas-distributing belt.

17. Mark position of the pump in relation to a basic arm.

18. Give three forward fixing nuts, remove washers.

19. Give a back nut, take a bolt (pay attention to an arrangement of washers). Prop up assembly of TNVD wooden whetstone.

20. Remove TNVD cogwheel from a pump shaft pin (see. The repair procedures which are not demanding extraction of the engine from the car - diesel engines). Pay attention that the cogwheel can be not taken out from a belt. For fixing of a wheel after removal of the pump use two bolts of M8.

21. Accurately remove the pump. Take from the groove on a pump shaft pin a segment spline (if she is put freely).

22. Do the same with the plug in a back part of a basic arm. Remove the removed components to the reliable place.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If removed, put in the groove not to a pin of a shaft of the pump a segment spline.
2. Place the pump on a basic arm and prop up it wooden whetstone.
3. Put on a cogwheel TNVD shaft pin (see Removal and installation of cogwheels of a belt of the GRM drive of a part the Repair procedures which are not demanding extraction of the engine from the car - diesel engines). Try not to allow losses of a segment spline.
4. Achieve combination of the landing tags put in the course of dismantle. If the new pump is installed, for approximate installation transfer to it a tag with removed from the engine.
5. Freely screw pump fixture.
6. Make installation of phases of gas distribution (see Methods of check of installation of the moments of injection of fuel, Check and adjustment of the moments of injection (TNVD Lucas) and Check and adjustment of the moments of injection (TNVD Bosch)).
7. Connect fuel tubes of nozzles.
8. Connect an electrical wiring to the pump.
9. Connect tubes of giving and return of fuel, correctly having tightened their nipple sockets (do not forget to replace sealing washers of hollow bolts).
10. Connect a driving cable of bystry idling (see Removal, installation and adjustment of the thermosensitive RPM meter of bystry idling).
11. Connect and adjust a gas cable (see Removal, installation and adjustment of a cable of gas). At the corresponding complete set connect a cable of inclusion of the kick-down mode (see. Automatic transmission).
12. Where it is required, connect hoses to the vacuum converter.
13. Establish the top cover (i) of a gas-distributing belt.
14. Lower the car on the earth.
15. Where it is required, establish into place an air distributor cover.
16. Remove polyethylene from the generator. On the models equipped To/in install the generator with an assembly bracket and a belt of the drive of auxiliary units (see Systems of start and a charge).
17. Connect a negative wire to the battery.
18. Remove air from a power supply system (see Filling of a power supply system with fuel and removal from it air traffic jams).
19. Start the engine and check correctness of adjustments of TNVD (address the Head Routine maintenance).
