Removal and installation of the case of a throttle

Before implementation of the procedure attentively study preventions of the section Power supply system - petrol models!

Removal

Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

MP5.1 Bosch Motronic models

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Release a fixing collar and disconnect an inlet air sleeve from the throttle case. Remove a sealing ring.
2. Disconnect the gas cable core from a cam of a butterfly valve, then release a cable cover from a basic arm (do not forget to remove also flat washer and a spring clamp).
3. Release fixing clamps and disconnect electric sockets from assemblies of a potentiometer of an axis of a butterfly valve, a heating element of the throttle camera (at the corresponding complete set) and the sensor of temperature of the soaked-up air (IAT).
4. Turn out three fixing screws and remove the throttle case from the inlet pipeline. Remove a sealing ring (at assembly it is subject to replacement without fail) from the pipeline.

MP3.2 Magneti-Marelli 8P/Motronic models

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the air sleeve connecting the air cleaner to the throttle case (see Removal and installation of assembly of the air cleaner).
2. Disconnect the gas cable core from a cam of a butterfly valve, then release a cable cover from a basic arm (do not forget to remove also flat washer and a spring clamp). At the corresponding complete set disconnect a driving cable of inclusion of the kick-down mode (see. Automatic transmission).
3. Release fixing clamps and disconnect electric sockets from assemblies of a potentiometer of an axis of a butterfly valve, a heating element of the throttle camera, IAT sensor and step motor of correction of turns of idling (at the corresponding complete set).
4. Give three fixing screws / nuts and remove the throttle case from the inlet pipeline. Remove a sealing ring (at assembly it is subject to replacement without fail) from the pipeline.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down. Special attention should be paid to the next moments:
   a) Do not forget to establish a new sealing ring on the surface of the inlet pipeline interfaced to the throttle case. Track reliability of tightening of fixture of the case of a throttle;
   b) Track correctness of connection and reliability of fastening of all hoses and electric sockets;
   c) In conclusion make adjustment of cables of gas (see Removal, installation and adjustment of a cable of gas) and (at the corresponding complete set) inclusions of the kick-down mode (see. Automatic transmission).
