The gear shifting mechanism drive - the general information and adjustment

General information

In the presence of suspicions on violation of functioning of the drive of the mechanism of switching, it is necessary to make its dismantle and to estimate degree of wear of components (see Removal and installation of components of the drive of gear shifting). At installation of components into place do not forget to grease all basic surfaces.

If the partition and greasing of the drive do not lead to correction of a situation, the car should be driven away on car repair shop for the purpose of diagnostics of a condition actually of the transmission.

Let's notice that the possibility of adjustment of length of drafts of the drive of gear shifting should be considered only as the preventive measure which is not intended for compensation of wear of components. Adjustment of length of drafts is made at their replacement (see below).


Nominal rates of lengths of drafts of the drive of gear shifting

1 — the Cranked lever / fastening to a forward stretcher
2 — Fastening of the lever of gear shifting

3 — Drafts of the choice of transfers (length 100 ± 1 mm)
4 — Draft of gear shifting (length 245 ± 1 mm)

Adjustment

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Prop up antiretractable boots back wheels of the car, then a front of the car and establish to a poddomkratta it on props. Access to drafts of the drive of gear shifting is extremely limited, however is possible as at the top, and from under the car.
2. Working through a motive compartment, or from under the car, measure length of each of drafts of the drive of gear shifting. Compare results of measurements to nominal rates (see an illustration Nominal rates of lengths of drafts of the drive of gear shifting).

The distance should be measured spherical hinges of drafts between centers.

3. In case of need performance of adjustment weaken a lock-nut and, having hooked the lever, accurately release the corresponding draft from the tent hinges on transmission. Adjustment of length of draft is made by rotation of its tip in the relevant party. The control measurements are taken hinges between centers. Having finished adjustment, press draft back in reception nests of the hinges, then strongly tighten a lock-nut.
4. Upon completion of adjustment make sure of serviceability of functioning of the mechanism of switching: each of transfers has to join freely, and nothing has to prevent return of the lever to neutral situation.
