Replacement of gearbox oil

On some models the reversing and tightening of jellied / control and drain traffic jams will require a special key of square section (ask in company shops of automobile accessories).


1. The discharge of gearbox oil is the simplest to make after warming up of transmission up to the normal working temperature - make a short trip on the car.

Try not to burn about the warmed surfaces of the power unit!

2. Park the car on the flat horizontal platform, whenever possible with a hard coating. Firmly cock the parking brake, block antiretractable boots back wheels, then a front of the car and establish to a poddomkratta it on props. At the corresponding complete set remove protection of a case.

During filling fresh gearbox oil the car has to be again transferred to horizontal position.

3. Uncover a cornice of an arch of the left wheel, at the corresponding complete set remove also protection of a case of the engine.
4. Carefully wipe a transmission case surface around the jellied/control stopper located in the left part of RKPP near a face cover. Turn out a stopper and remove a sealing washer.

5. Get the capacity suitable on volume under a drain stopper of a case of RKPP. The drain stopper is in the area of the main transfer, in a back part of a case of transmission. Turn out a stopper.

6. Wait until all oil merges from the transmission. If oil is hotter, take the appropriate measures of precaution not to burn. Carefully wipe both stoppers, having removed all stuck metal sawdust from magnetic inserts. Old sealing washers are subject to replacement without fail.
7. When oil stops following from RKPP case, clean a carving of a drain stopper and an opening under its installation in RKPP case. Establish a new sealing washer, then screw a stopper and tighten it with the required effort. Lower the car on the earth.
8. The gas station in the transmission of fresh gearbox oil demands from the performer of certain skills and takes away a lot of time. Let's notice that for the correct adjustment of level the car has to be surely located strictly horizontally.
9. Fill in the amount of fresh gearbox oil of the required grade stipulated in Specifications through a jellied/control opening. Check oil level (address the Head Routine maintenance). If after the gulf of the required amount of oil it begins to follow through a control opening, screw into place a stopper and make a short trip during which oil has to be distributed on surfaces of the RKPP internal components on the car. Repeat check of level. Establish into place a cover of a cornice of an arch of a wheel and protection of a case.
