1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery. For the purpose of ensuring access to glow plugs remove an air distributor casing. In case of need remove an inlet air duct and disconnect a ventilating hose from a jellied mouth of motive oil. For more details see the Power supply system - diesel models.

2. Give a nut of fastening of the feeding wire to each of incandescence candles, remove washers.

3. Pay attention that the main giving wire is connected to a glow plug of the first cylinder.

4. All candles are connected among themselves by tires crossing points.

5. Where it is required, accurately take aside the procedures of a tube and a wire impeding the implementation.

6. Turn out a candle(s) and remove it from a head of cylinders.

1. Attentively examine each of candles on existence of signs of mechanical damages. Obgoraniye or an erosion of working tips can be connected with violation of an epyura of a stream of injectable fuel. In that case it is necessary to check a condition of nozzles also.
2. If candles look externally serviceable, check them for existence of electric conductivity, - use an ohmmeter or a lamp sampler (see the previous Section).
3. For check of uniformity and speed of a warming up of a candle on it tension can be given to 12 V. Deystvuyta extremely carefully:
   a) Accurately clamp a candle in a vice with soft sponges - you remember that the candle is heated to it is red;
   b) Track that the wire of giving of food was equipped with a safety lock in order to avoid damage of a candle in case of short circuit;
   c) Upon completion of check let's a candle cool down within several minutes, only then take out it from a vice.
4. The serviceable candle is warmed to is red already about 5 seconds later after giving on it of food, otherwise the candle should be replaced. Candles at which not the tip, but the middle of a working element is heated are also subject to replacement.
